A remainder of past glories. Just standing beneath this automatically brings you waves of heroism and patriotism. It also brought me mixed feelings of sadness, as I slowly realized the void in which we have descended here in Venezuela. Those monuments stand tall and proud just to remain us of greater times, those in which we where a nation so young and which such promise, with a future full of hope and endless possibilities, now long forgotten.
